Angelfish and tetras

Angelfish and tetras are popular choices among freshwater aquarium enthusiasts due to their vibrant colors and dynamic presence in the tank. However, keeping these two species together requires careful consideration. Angelfish, with their elegant fins and territorial nature, can sometimes be aggressive, especially as they mature. They may see smaller fish, like tetras, as prey, particularly if the tetras are very small. Additionally, providing plenty of hiding spaces, plants, and a spacious tank can help reduce territorial disputes and ensure a peaceful coexistence. It’s also advisable to introduce angelfish to the tank after the tetras have already established themselves, as this can prevent the angelfish from becoming overly dominant.
