Aquascaping is another important aspect of an angelfish aquarium. Incorporating plenty of plants, such as Amazon swords or Java ferns, provides shelter and helps recreate their native river environments. Driftwood and smooth rocks can also be added to offer additional hiding spots, which are important for reducing stress. When it comes to tank mates, angelfish can coexist with other peaceful species, but avoid overly aggressive or fin-nipping fish.
