Additionally, providing an exercise wheel is essential, as hedgehogs are active creatures that need physical activity to stay healthy. To further enrich your hedgehog’s environment, consider adding tunnels, tubes, and toys that encourage natural behaviors like burrowing and exploring. Regular cleaning of the enclosure is important to prevent the buildup of waste and odors. Spot-clean daily, and do a full cleaning at least once a week, replacing all bedding and sanitizing the enclosure.
